What you'll do

• Obtain, coordinate, and schedule referrals
• check physician schedules for add-on appointments requiring referrals
• communicate with referring offices, insurance carriers, and patients
• coordinate with departments
• assist with precertification and prior authorizations
• process referrals, registrations, benefit verification, and appointment scheduling
• enter progress notes and other information in the electronic medical record
• back up the front desk when needed.
