Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher role is onsite in Houston, TX, with compensation of $13–$18 per hour. The Goddard School uses its Wonder of Learning curriculum to support young children’s development. This role leads daily classroom activities and implements developmentally appropriate lessons to foster children’s growth. It also supports a safe, inclusive learning environment through family communication, observation, positive guidance, and collaboration with assistant and resource teachers.

What you'll do

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum
• maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom
• communicate with families about children’s progress and daily activities
• supervise children and follow health, safety, and licensing standards
• observe and document development
• use positive guidance strategies
• support assistant and resource teachers
• participate in professional development.
