The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Medical Assistant role is onsite in Knoxville, TN, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; compensation is not specified. The role supports the Rocky Hill Family Physicians team at University Physicians’ Association. The assistant helps providers and clinical staff deliver timely, coordinated patient care by triaging calls, documenting health information, communicating results and instructions, managing refills, and supporting clinic operations. The position also coordinates scheduling and prior authorizations while maintaining professional relationships with patients, families, and providers.

What you'll do

• Triage patient phone calls and assess levels of care
• document symptoms, medical history, and health concerns in the EMR
• communicate test results and patient instructions
• manage prescription refills according to protocol
• assist with scheduling, prior authorizations, and imaging pre-certifications
• coordinate care and support daily clinical and administrative operations.
