As a Y Head Start Family Home Visitor, you will provide child development services, social services, health services, parent support and parent involvement services to families including home visits, socializations, advocacy and crisis intervention in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards, Y of Central Maryland Child Care Philosophy and local licensing regulations.

What you'll do

• An interest in the well-being and education of young children, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment and a good spirit.
• At minimum of 2 years prior experience working with children and families in a human service setting.
• The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, and other Y associates.
• The desire to problem solve, handle crisis, and work with families and children of various cultures from low-income backgrounds.
• A bachelors or associates degree in child development, education, social sciences or related field.
