Registered Dental Hygienist

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms and patients
• maintain and sterilize instruments
• evaluate oral health
• perform dental prophylaxis
• conduct oral cancer and periodontal screenings and radiographic studies
• apply fluoride and other preventive agents
• educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
• document vital signs and medical and dental histories
• follow confidentiality, infection-control, and safety protocols
• maintain dental equipment and supplies.
