What you'll do

• Prepare steel, concrete, equipment, and other surfaces
• operate sandblasting and painting equipment after training
• set up and move blasting equipment and job-site systems
• mix and apply paints and protective coatings
• handle chemicals and hazardous materials according to safety procedures
• use required PPE and follow OSHA and site safety requirements
• maintain a clean work area and report safety or equipment issues
• work in confined spaces and at heights as required
• travel outside the Chicago area as needed.
