What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• position patients and operate X-ray equipment
• follow radiation safety standards
• review images for technical quality and identification
• maintain patient records
• coordinate with radiologists and referring physicians
• assist with patient transport when necessary
• perform equipment quality checks and calibrations
• troubleshoot equipment and report malfunctions
• follow infection control, HIPAA, and hospital safety protocols.

Why this role

Requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field, Louisiana Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT Radiography certification, and BLS certification. One year of hospital or clinical experience is preferred.
