The Structural Engineer, Building Design role is onsite in Seattle, WA. The expected salary range is $98,000–$125,000 annually. The engineer joins KPFF Seattle’s Structural Team, which designs buildings serving communities across the Pacific Northwest. The role delivers structural analysis, design, and construction documentation for varied building projects. Working with project managers, designers, architects, developers, and other professionals, the engineer helps produce safe, efficient, resilient structures and supports project delivery through construction administration.

What you'll do

• Perform structural analysis and design for gravity framing, lateral systems, foundations, and other scopes using industry-standard software
• develop 3D BIM models and construction documents
• coordinate with drafters and multidisciplinary BIM partners
• delegate and oversee structural designer tasks
• plan and execute project work with project managers
• support construction administration, including site observations, submittal reviews, and responses to contractor questions
• apply building and material codes
• participate in client meetings and track coordination items
• participate in the Forefront mentorship and professional development program.
