Operating Room Technician

The Operating Room Technician role is onsite in Bluffton, SC. Compensation is not specified. The position supports the Surgical Services department at Bluffton Community Hospital, a new community hospital planned to provide care closer to southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. The technician assists the perioperative care team with patient and surgical-suite preparation and supports routine and complex procedures. By preparing equipment, assisting with positioning and transport, and turning over operating rooms, the role helps the surgical team deliver patient care safely and efficiently.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients and surgical suites for procedures
• assist with patient positioning, transport, prepping, and draping
• retrieve and prepare equipment and assist with its use
• respond to emergencies as directed by the MDA, RN, and CRNA present
• turn over operating rooms by restocking supplies, cleaning, returning equipment, and delivering specimens
• assist with surgical procedures within scope of practice.
