What you'll do

• Maintain and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, water, fuel, and sewage systems
• monitor machinery and perform scheduled preventive maintenance in the maintenance system
• report breakdowns and support safe operations
• inspect and maintain safety equipment
• track equipment, supplies, and spare parts
• oversee proper machinery operation
• inspect and repair engines, pumps, generators, valves, and pipes
• record fuel and other consumables
• coordinate with the captain, tugboat, or shore base
• follow safety and environmental requirements.
