The Diesel Mechanic (Senior Level) role is an onsite position based in Newnan, GA. Compensation is $31.50 per hour, and this role supports the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles within the Ryder logistics fleet. This role exists to ensure the safety and reliability of the company's vehicle fleet through complex diagnostics, repairs, and mentorship of junior technicians. The senior technician contributes to operational efficiency by performing detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.

What you'll do

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance
• Performs preventive maintenance
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems utilizing diagnostic computer
• Completes complex and detailed mechanical inspections & repairs with minimal supervision
• Replaces defective components
• Works unsupervised on most tasks
• Performs facility maintenance duties
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint
• Utilizes Shop Management System
• Works in accordance with safety, DOT, and MOT guidelines
• Acts as mentor for Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels
• Accesses and uses internal/external maintenance documents.
