Technician I — Solar Operations and Maintenance

Job overview

Technician I works onsite at a utility-scale solar power plant in Lavaca, TX. Compensation is $29.28–$34.45 per hour. NovaSource Power Services provides solar operations and maintenance and renewable asset optimization services. The technician supports plant operation and maintenance by monitoring performance, inspecting and testing photovoltaic systems, and troubleshooting and repairing equipment. The role contributes to safe, reliable plant performance through preventive maintenance, complete work orders and reports, and adherence to safety and environmental procedures.

What you'll do

• Monitor plant operation through SCADA
• commission, test, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and modify solar photovoltaic systems
• perform preventive maintenance under supervision
• complete CMMS work orders and reports
• inspect and clean equipment
• verify SCADA configuration
• prepare procurement and vendor-service documents
• follow safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout procedures.
