Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Straight Nights in Cavalier, ND. This is an onsite position with a salary range of $26.00 - $36.00 per hour. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician, demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles.

What you'll do

• Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
• Demonstrate competency and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilize appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan.
• Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
• Ensure the health, comfort and safety of residents.
• Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public.
• Work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
• Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Counsel residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans.
• Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.

Experience

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility.
