Vertical Machining Center Machinist — Day or Night Shift

The Vertical Machining Center Machinist role is onsite in Maple Grove, MN, with day and night shift openings and flexible hours; night shift is the priority. Pay is $35–$42 per hour, depending on experience. The precision machining job shop serves aerospace, defense, medical, and microelectronics customers in an AS9100D- and ISO 9001-certified shop. This role produces high-precision, tight-tolerance parts in short runs by setting up and operating vertical machining centers, proving out jobs, and inspecting work. The machinist owns parts from setup through inspection and helps the shop deliver varied customer work.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate vertical machining centers
• edit programs at the control and prove out new jobs
• select tooling and work holding, set offsets, and adjust feeds and speeds
• inspect parts in process and at final using precision measuring tools
• read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
• maintain machines, tooling, and work area.
