The Senior Designer — Performance Footwear is an onsite role at ARC’TERYX’s Portland, OR office. Compensation is $107,000–$141,000 per year. The Footwear team develops technical products intended to meet the needs of mountain athletes and outdoor users. The designer develops footwear concepts and products from ideation through product creation, balancing user needs, technical innovation, brand expression, and commercial relevance. The role collaborates across design, development, materials, merchandising, and commercial teams to build and refine the footwear collection.

What you'll do

• Execute design needs for assigned collections and projects
• support stage gates and long-term strategy
• develop footwear design concepts and DNA
• create tech packs, patterns, mockups, and prototypes
• collaborate on materials and manufacturing techniques
• incorporate athlete and user feedback
• mentor teammates
• support product changes and in-line production needs.
