Engineer – Supplier Development III

Job overview

The Engineer – Supplier Development III role is onsite in Merritt Island, FL, and pays $71+ per hour. The position supports an aerospace client as part of the Supplier Recovery Team, and domestic travel is required up to 50% of the time. The engineer works with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address performance issues and improve quality, cost, delivery, and capacity. The role develops recovery plans, supports supplier audits and process improvements, and helps align supplier execution with production requirements and launch readiness.

What you'll do

• Improve supplier quality, cost, delivery, and capacity
• develop and implement supplier quality and manufacturing processes
• review issues and recommend corrective actions
• coordinate with receiving, inspection, supplier quality, and quality assurance teams
• oversee supplier audits
• analyze process metrics, bottlenecks, yield issues, and rate limiters
• manage supplier workflows and schedules
• support production timelines, new parts, process development, and launch readiness
• improve receiving inspection, nonconforming hardware, manufacturing/assembly, and traceability processes.
