The Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst — Secret Clearance role is onsite five days per week in Herndon, VA. Pay is $80,000–$120,000 per year. UltraViolet Cyber provides managed and tailored security operations solutions to Fortune 500, federal government, and commercial clients. The analyst monitors and investigates security events and alerts on a 24x7 basis, documenting investigations and recording associated artifacts in the SOC incident-tracking application. The work supports identification of suspicious or malicious activity and security incidents across enterprise systems and networks.

What you'll do

• Monitor and analyze SIEM security events and alerts
• investigate suspicious or malicious activity and policy violations
• analyze logs and events from devices and other data feeds
• document information collected for investigations
• record artifacts such as emails, logs, documents, URLs, and screenshots in the SOC incident-tracking application
• and monitor the operational status of monitoring components and report or escalate outages.
