The cook prepares and serves meals that meet the community’s quality, quantity, schedule, and hospitality standards. The role also supports safe food production through sanitation, dietary preparation, inventory handling, and required food and temperature records.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve meals
• follow posted menus, standardized recipes, production sheets, and instructions
• prepare special dietary and texture-modified foods as directed
• organize work to meet production and service requirements
• monitor food temperature, taste, and quality
• maintain sanitary work areas and follow food-handling regulations
• operate dishwashing equipment and sanitize dishes and utensils
• maintain resident diet information and food, equipment, and temperature records
• rotate menus and production sheets.
