The Companionship Caregiver — Main Line role provides non-medical care in clients’ residences in the Berwyn, PA area. Compensation is $17.50 per hour. A Place at Home Philadelphia West is hiring companions for senior clients. The caregiver provides companionship and mental stimulation while helping clients with light household tasks, meal planning, and other support described in their care plans. The role also helps maintain continuity of care by observing and reporting changes and communicating with the care team.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship and mental stimulation through activities such as reading, walks, conversation, and games
• assist with light housekeeping and organizing
• accompany clients to appointments or errands
• help plan and prepare meals and snacks according to care-plan dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
• observe and report changes in physical or mental behavior and potentially unsafe environments
• document and communicate with the care team
• participate in required training.
