Low-Voltage Field Technician

The Low-Voltage Field Technician role is based at Softrim’s office in Estero, FL, with work at commercial job sites and service areas nationwide. Compensation is not specified. The position requires 50%–75% travel and typically follows Monday–Friday business hours of 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; some weekend and after-hours work is required. The technician installs and repairs low-voltage cabling and systems, including access control, surveillance, telephone, audio/visual, nurse call, and networking. The role supports project deployments by completing installations safely, documenting work, and coordinating with project teams and customers.

What you'll do

• Install and remove low-voltage cabling, including Ethernet and fiber
• pull, terminate, label, and test cables
• mount, connect, and disconnect low-voltage systems and equipment
• use tools and company vehicles safely
• read blueprints and install according to plans
• communicate project milestones and customer follow-up
• maintain technical documentation
• coordinate field deployment with project teams
• follow OSHA safety guidelines
• record time and work notes
• adhere to budget and scheduling guidelines.
