What you'll do

• Perform direct and indirect patient care
• conduct initial and ongoing assessments
• develop, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans in accordance with physician orders
• document patient information
• oversee acute-unit patient care
• administer medications
• monitor patients and report changes
• collect and handle specimens
• manage IVs and infusions
• coordinate discharge planning
• communicate during shift changes and assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff.
