The Mental Health Specialist II – Acute Behavioral Services role is onsite in Stanchfield, MN. The fixed starting rate is $24 per hour; select locations may be eligible for a retention bonus of up to $3,000. Dungarvin’s Acute Behavioral Services group homes support people with complex mental health and behavioral needs. The specialist provides direct, person-centered support focused on safety, skill-building, and positive engagement. The role follows support and treatment plans, assists with daily living and community activities, documents services, monitors behavioral changes, and communicates with the team during safety or crisis situations.

What you'll do

• Provide direct support using person-centered approaches
• follow behavior support and treatment plans, crisis-prevention strategies, de-escalation techniques, and trained manual restraint procedures
• assist with daily living skills, household tasks, activities, transportation, and community engagement
• document services and observations
• monitor behavioral changes and communicate with supervisors
• support appointments and medication tasks as allowed
• participate in team meetings and assist with training new staff
• follow safety and emergency protocols.
