It supports appropriate placement and continuity of care through clinical rationale, timely documentation, and communication with admissions, clinical, and program staff; it does not provide ongoing treatment.

What you'll do

• Review prescreening information for completeness and clinical relevance
• evaluate applicable ASAM 4th Edition dimensions
• determine and document recommended level of care
• request additional information or clarification when needed
• identify clinical needs, risks, and barriers
• communicate recommendations to designated staff
• recommend external referrals when needs cannot be met by available programs
• comply with organizational policies, ASAM standards, payer requirements, and applicable regulations.
