What you'll do

• Review physician orders and confirm patient identity
• operate X-ray equipment to capture ordered images
• explain procedures and help patients feel at ease
• assist with positioning, including patients with limited mobility
• use lead shielding and radiation-safety practices
• ensure images are clear and accurate
• coordinate with the radiologist about possible additional imaging
• maintain equipment and report problems
• track procedures and keep rooms clean and organized
• attend staff meetings and training.
