Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician

The Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician role is an onsite field position in Pleasant Grove, UT; compensation is $20–$30 per hour. The technician supports Horrocks’ Utah team with field data collection and project coordination. The role locates and documents existing utilities using field investigation, excavation, and geophysical methods, helping project teams meet client needs and deadlines with accurate utility information.

What you'll do

• Obtain and maintain required safety certifications
• coordinate field schedules across projects
• investigate and identify existing utilities
• operate or assist with vacuum excavation equipment
• locate utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies in accordance with ASCE 38 standards
• collect field data
• coordinate client requirements with a supervisor
• interpret utility records, as-builts, survey drawings, and highway plans
• support project delivery and company objectives.
