Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician

The Facilities & Grounds Maintenance Technician role is onsite in San Antonio, TX. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The position supports the Oblate Madonna Residence, a retirement residence for independent or semi-independent Oblate priests and brothers, by maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable campus. The technician performs building repairs, groundskeeping, inspections, and preventive maintenance to keep the residence operational and welcoming. Prompt response to maintenance requests and coordination with vendors help address facility needs for residents, visitors, and staff.

What you'll do

• Maintain landscaped areas and keep walkways and common outdoor areas clear
• perform seasonal grounds work
• paint and complete minor repairs
• perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs
• inspect buildings, equipment, and grounds
• document preventive maintenance
• operate and maintain tools and equipment safely
• monitor supplies
• coordinate with vendors and contractors
• respond to maintenance requests
• assist with moving furniture and heavy items
• follow safety procedures.
