Research and Development Engineer II, Medical Device Product Development

Job overview

The Research and Development Engineer II role is onsite in Chaska, MN, with compensation of $60,000–$95,000 per year. The position supports a product development team working on complex, minimally invasive medical devices in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role contributes to taking medical device designs from concept through production by developing and refining designs and manufacturing processes, supporting validation, and helping ensure products are manufacturable and meet quality and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Design and develop medical devices from concept through production
• support prototyping, assembly, and laboratory development
• create and modify CAD models, components, tooling, and fixtures
• build and evaluate prototypes
• develop manufacturing processes and assembly methods
• support equipment setup and qualification, validation planning, verification and validation testing, and transition to production
• maintain engineering documentation and design-control compliance
• communicate project status and collaborate across engineering, quality, manufacturing, suppliers, and project teams.
