The Registered Nurse – Float role is an onsite, full-time position in Malone, NY, floating among the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, and Critical Care units. Compensation is not specified. Alice Hyde Medical Center is a 25-bed acute care facility with an 11-bed Emergency Room that sees 35–55 patients in a 24-hour period. The nurse provides patient care across assigned units and helps meet changing clinical needs. The role requires one year of Medical/Surgical experience, with Critical Care experience preferred, and successful completion of an Arrhythmia/ICU class or equivalent, or a passing challenge exam.

What you'll do

• Float between the Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, and Critical Care
• provide nursing care in assigned clinical areas. Maintain current New York-recognized RN licensure and complete the Arrhythmia/ICU class or equivalent, or pass the challenge exam. ACLS and BLS training and updates are required
• PALS, ATLS, and CCRN are encouraged.
