The role supports timely, accurate diagnostic laboratory operations through specimen handling, staining, equipment maintenance, documentation, and safe laboratory practices.

What you'll do

• Use the laboratory information system
• label specimen components
• embed fixed tissues
• perform microtomy and routine or special staining
• maintain instruments and inventory
• prepare reagents
• verify slide stain quality
• distribute slides to pathologists
• document quality control and preventive maintenance
• troubleshoot with supervision
• maintain filing systems
• follow chemical hygiene and hazardous-waste procedures
• and comply with laboratory SOPs and applicable standards.

Why this role
