The Locomotive Wheel Axle Combo Traction Motor Engineer is an onsite role based in Muncie, IN, with a salary range of $77,069.75 - $139,668.00 per year. This role exists to support all engineering and material activities for Wheel Axle Combo Traction (WACT) facilities, providing technical expertise on the design, manufacturing, and remanufacturing of WACT components.
What you'll do
- Full spectrum engineer providing technical expertise to the management team on the design, manufacturing and remanufacturing of WACTs.
- Responsible for review of BOMs and updates with fallout on materials in LN.
- Management of Parent level BOMs and Part Numbers.
- Requesting of updates on Engineering prints.
- Adherence to ESFR, MI and AI's.
- Writing Visual work instructions, updating shop travelers and routers.
- CPI Projects in 4 facilities, process improvement that correlates directly to cost reduction, velocity and efficiency improvements.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in a engineering discipline, with preference in Mechanical and or Electrical engineering.
- Experience
- 3 years engineering experience.
