The nurse supports Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital’s 27-bed Cardiac/Medical Stepdown unit, caring for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, post-cardiac surgery, and recovery from cardiac interventions. The nurse coordinates and delivers compassionate care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment. Close telemetry monitoring, timely response to changes in condition, patient and family communication, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team support recovery and patient goals.

What you'll do

• Coordinate and deliver quality patient care
• assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process
• delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching
• communicate pertinent information to the healthcare team
• help identify and implement solutions when patient goals vary. Schedule: three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m., every other weekend and rotating holidays.
