What you'll do

• Accompany the physician during patient exams and document medical histories, findings, and treatment plans
• record ophthalmic examination data, including visual acuity, slit-lamp findings, and dilated fundus exam results
• maintain electronic health records
• assist with patient intake and chart preparation
• transcribe orders, referrals, and follow-up instructions
• coordinate with front-office and clinical staff
• and protect patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
