What you'll do

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• perform triage and comprehensive nursing assessments
• provide cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, blood product administration, and ventilator management as required
• collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to stabilize patients and manage acute conditions
• follow infection control and isolation protocols
• use specialized equipment including rapid infusers and Bair Hugger warming systems
• float to other units within competency and skill set as required.

Why this role

13-week assignment with 48 guaranteed hours per week; day shift, four 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM–7:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM; every other weekend and availability for every other holiday if needed. Required credentials include an active New York State single-state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification. First-time travelers are accepted; candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted.
