Job overview

The Community Participation Supports Lead Direct Support Professional role is community-based in the Tamaqua, PA service area, covering Schuylkill, Monroe, and Carbon counties; Bethlehem or Orwigsburg offices may be used as needed. The schedule is Monday–Friday during regular business hours, with flexibility for program needs. Pay starts at $19 per hour. Access Services supports adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in building meaningful, connected lives in their communities. The role combines direct person-centered support with team leadership, helping individuals work toward their goals while assisting with staff onboarding, coaching, training, and program compliance. Regular travel is an essential part of the position, and mileage and toll reimbursement are provided.

What you'll do

  • Provide direct support in homes and community settings
  • implement individuals’ Plans of Care and Person-Centered Support Plans
  • assist the supervisor with onboarding, training, and client coverage
  • collaborate on coaching DSP performance
  • support regulatory compliance
  • assess operational risks
  • communicate with supervisors, families, and partner agencies
  • provide personal care when indicated
  • travel during the workday to deliver services.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, two years of direct care experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities, a valid US driver’s license held for at least two years, reliable vehicle access, and valid auto insurance. Regular travel is required.
