Machine Operator II — Third Shift

The Machine Operator II — Third Shift role is onsite in Thomasville, NC. The schedule is Sunday through Wednesday, 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Compensation is $17 per hour plus a $1 per-shift differential. Quanex is a manufacturing company serving fenestration, cabinetry, solar, refrigeration and outdoor-product markets. The operator supports manufacturing by processing and sorting material for reprocessing in the mixing area. Accurate machine operation, material handling, inspections and safe housekeeping help maintain production and quality.

What you'll do

• Set up, operate and verify assigned machines
• label regrind containers
• collect and manage scrap from up to 49 machines per shift
• grind scrap by material type and color
• complete inspection and Total Productive Maintenance reports
• address quality concerns with leadership
• and maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
