Box Truck Driver

The Box Truck Driver role is onsite in San Antonio, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation is $20 per hour. Hospital Couriers, now a BioTouch company, provides medical transportation and logistics services to the healthcare industry. The role exists to transport patient specimens, medical supplies, equipment, documents, and other medical materials safely and on time. Accurate handling, documentation, and delivery help protect the integrity and security of medical materials and support healthcare customers’ logistics needs.

What you'll do

• Operate a company box truck
• load, secure, transport, and unload medical materials
• handle temperature-sensitive, fragile, and time-sensitive items appropriately
• verify labels and destinations
• complete pickups and deliveries within established timeframes
• follow chain-of-custody, specimen-handling, security, and delivery procedures
• use a manual pallet jack
• maintain delivery records and communicate with Dispatch or management about delays, route changes, concerns, or vehicle issues
• protect confidential information and comply with HIPAA
• inspect and maintain the assigned vehicle
• and follow safety policies, traffic laws, and applicable regulations.

Why this role

A valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record are required. Previous box truck, delivery, commercial vehicle, medical, healthcare, laboratory, courier, logistics, or specimen transportation experience is preferred or a plus. HIPAA training will be provided.
