Job overview

The Drill Operator, Quarry role is onsite in Montpelier, VT, with pay of $24–$30 per hour depending on experience; a travel stipend is also provided. The role supports Maine Drilling & Blasting’s quarry drilling operations. The operator performs drilling work safely and to the job program’s production requirements. The role maintains assigned equipment, follows drill patterns and layouts, tracks supplies and work records, and communicates site conditions to the Blasting Supervisor.

What you'll do

• Safely perform quarry drilling activity according to the job program
• follow safety policies and procedures
• maintain assigned equipment, including Epiroc top hammer drills
• execute drill patterns and layouts established by the Blaster Foreman
• manage drill supplies and accessories
• communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blasting Supervisor
• complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timecards
• participate in safety and job meetings
• complete Driller I and Driller II training certifications.
