The Floater Teacher role is onsite at Edgemoor in Bethesda, MD, with a 1:00 PM–6:00 PM schedule during the school year. Compensation is $18–$23 per hour. The floater teacher supports classroom teams and adapts to changing daily needs to maintain a developmentally appropriate learning environment. The role assists with teaching, activity preparation, classroom organization, meals, family communication, and children’s social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.

What you'll do

• Assist lead and assistant teachers
• prepare classroom activity materials
• clean and organize after activities
• prepare lunch and snacks
• participate in developmentally appropriate programming and planning
• communicate with families and staff
• support behavior strategies
• maintain safe, engaging, clean spaces
• follow Maryland child care licensing regulations
• attend required training
• maintain Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
• assist with toilet training and diapering as needed.
