Orthodontic Assistant

Job overview

The Orthodontic Assistant role is onsite in Woodland, CA, with travel between practice locations as needed. Compensation is $27–$30 per hour. The assistant supports orthodontists and helps maintain patient flow and patient care in a clinical orthodontic setting. The assistant prepares patients and treatment areas, supports examinations and procedures, maintains clinical records and supplies, and provides patients with care instructions. These duties help deliver an organized, welcoming experience for patients and families.

What you'll do

• Greet and prepare patients
• assist orthodontists during examinations, adjustments, and clinical procedures
• prepare treatment areas, instruments, and materials
• assist with orthodontic appliances as permitted by regulations
• take photographs, impressions, digital scans, and X-rays as permitted
• educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
• sterilize instruments
• follow infection-control protocols
• maintain records and supplies
• coordinate patient flow.
