Fabricator / Upfitter — Fire and Rescue Apparatus

The Fabricator / Upfitter role is onsite in Roxana, IL, with compensation of $30–$35 per hour. Banner Fire Equipment builds and equips fire and rescue apparatus used by first responders. The fabricator assembles, modifies, and upfits emergency vehicles to customer specifications, combining metal fabrication, welding, wiring, and equipment installation to help deliver safe, reliable, mission-ready apparatus.

What you'll do

• Fabricate, assemble, and upfit new fire and rescue apparatus and retrofit in-service units
• MIG and TIG weld aluminum and steel
• route and terminate 12V wiring
• install pumps, tanks, hose reels, shelving, lighting, chargers, and accessories
• read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and build sheets
• inspect, test, and document completed work for quality, safety, and customer-specification compliance.

Why this role

MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and hands-on 12V/DC electrical experience are required. High school diploma or GED is required; 3+ years of fabrication experience is preferred. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 40 hours per week.
