Animal Care Technician

The Animal Care Technician role is onsite at the Animal Shelter in Farmington, NM, and pays $14.00 per hour. What you'll do

• Provide food and water, bathing, and basic grooming
• monitor animals and report health, behavior, or temperament concerns
• assist with intake, evaluation, and medical treatments as directed
• assist with euthanasia by injection using humane practices
• clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and assigned areas
• operate cleaning and laundry equipment
• restock supplies and report equipment or supply needs
• support adoption interactions and answer customer questions
• assist the public with lost-pet inquiries
• work cooperatively with volunteers and the public
• operate a motor vehicle for department and city business.
