Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments, establishing treatment plans and working cooperatively with physicians and case managers.
What you'll do
- Evaluates, administers, and directs administration of therapeutic procedures utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as prescribed by a referring practitioner.
- Establishes goals of physical therapy and re-assesses patient’s progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation.
- This job classification is required to care for patients of all ages.
- Communicates with patients, families, peers, and other professionals as needed to provide continuity of care.
- Evaluates and treats patients recovering from injury, disease, surgery, or other ailments.
- Establishes treatment plans and treats patients using a variety of methods, including exercises, stretching maneuvers, hands-on therapy, and equipment to ease patients' pain and help them recover.
- Works cooperatively with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters.
- Documents and reports on patients' progress.
- May supervise physical therapy assistants, aides, and athletic trainers.
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- South Carolina Board Certified / Eligible.
- Current Driver’s License.
- BLS required.
