Automated Test Engineer (SME)

The Automated Test Engineer role is onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD. Compensation is $90,000–$200,000 per year. The engineer joins Belay Technologies’ intelligence team supporting TO-005, Report Authoring and Dissemination (RAD), a system whose quality, reliability, and performance the team is tasked with ensuring. The role designs and maintains automated tests, validates functional enhancements, and integrates testing into delivery workflows. Close collaboration with software developers, system engineers, and product owners supports reliable modernization of authoring and dissemination tools.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API tests using Cypress
• execute test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and document defects and metrics
• integrate tests into CI/CD with DevOps and software engineers
• participate in Agile ceremonies
• ensure test coverage for features and bug fixes.
