Direct Support Professional — Multiple Openings

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Lincoln, NE, with day, evening, and overnight shifts available; shift hours may vary with individual needs. Compensation is $16–$17 per hour. Hands of Heartland supports people with developmental disabilities, placing the person before the program. The professional assists individuals with daily living and skill development, follows person-centered support plans, promotes health and community inclusion, and documents progress while supporting each person’s goals and independence.

What you'll do

• Assist with hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation
• support skills such as money management, household chores, self-advocacy, and communication
• implement and document person-centered support plan goals
• monitor health and well-being
• encourage social interaction and community inclusion
• and transport individuals in a motor vehicle.
