The Sous Chef role is onsite at Stanford Graduate School of Business in Stanford, CA, with pay of $28–$32 per hour. The position supports Bon Appétit’s campus food service and scratch cooking with fresh, local ingredients. The sous chef helps the Executive Chef prepare and cook food, coordinates cooks and food-service associates, and assumes kitchen responsibility in the Executive Chef’s absence. The role supports timely production, food safety, sanitation, and consistent service.

What you'll do

• Prepare food using approved recipes and production standards
• coordinate and supervise food-service associates
• support scheduling, training, and performance processes
• store and handle food safely
• maintain presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
• keep equipment and work areas sanitary
• respond to customer concerns
• explain menu items
• monitor inventory, deliveries, production, consumption, and waste.
