What you'll do

• Own the search API’s response format, latency, error handling, filtering, and documentation
• translate retrieval and ranking research into product changes
• review GitHub issues and Discord discussions about search and address friction
• run product experiments by forming hypotheses, instrumenting, shipping, measuring, and deciding
• set priorities and own outcomes
• work with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Vespa, Algolia, vector databases, or custom information-retrieval stacks.
