Housing Sergeant, 12-Hour Shift

What you'll do

• Supervise security functions and inmate feeding during the shift
• inspect security equipment and facility systems
• assist with unit counts
• review officers’ reports
• ensure staff receive required training
• inspect perimeter and alarm systems
• assist with disturbances and report causes
• respond to major unusual occurrences
• direct and inspect inmate or detainee work
• provide management input on staff performance and assignments
• conduct facility inspections for policy compliance.
