Behavioral Intervention Specialist

Job overview

The Behavioral Intervention Specialist role is onsite in Rochester, NY, and pays $20–$22 per hour. The Center for Youth partners with youth to create opportunities, remove barriers, and promote social justice. The specialist coordinates school-based intervention and prevention services, responding to student needs and supporting de-escalation, restorative practices, and students’ return to the classroom. The role also tracks program outcomes and works with school administrators and agency teams to deliver services aligned with identified needs.

What you'll do

• Administer and oversee the onsite program
• coordinate with school administrators and attend support-service meetings
• deliver restorative-based services
• manage data collection, evaluation, and monthly reporting
• coordinate prevention education requests, outreach, referrals, and immediate support
• provide prevention education and asset-development activities
• support alternatives to suspension and transitional services
• represent the agency at meetings and events
• develop and maintain resource files, lesson plans, and training aids.
