What you'll do

• Assess patients and evaluate suitability for PICC placement
• verify physician orders and informed consent
• perform time-out and confirm patient identity
• place PICC or midline catheters using aseptic technique
• document insertion, placement confirmation, and medication administration
• educate patients and facility staff on catheter care
• participate in performance improvement
• maintain clinical competency
• support facility rounds and clinical meetings as needed
• enter charges and use equipment appropriately.
