The Mental Health Technician — Per Diem role is onsite at Adams Clinical’s inpatient research facility in Watertown, MA. Pay is $22–$28 per hour. Adams Clinical operates a clinical trial site network focused on data quality, participant safety, and diverse enrollment. The technician supports clinical trials by maintaining participant safety and a therapeutic environment through direct care, observation, and engagement. The role also assists with basic clinical and laboratory tasks under the guidance of the inpatient unit manager, clinical research coordinators, and principal investigator.

What you'll do

• Provide therapeutic interaction and verbal de-escalation
• review handoff reports and document shifts
• conduct and document wellness checks every 15 minutes
• supervise breaks and assist with meals and hygiene routines
• support scheduled activities
• monitor and document medication administration
• assist with admissions, discharges, and orientation
• take vital signs, collect specimens, and perform phlebotomy as needed
• process and document lab samples per protocol.

Why this role

Multiple shifts are available: 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. Weekend or overnight availability Friday–Sunday is strongly preferred; double shifts may be available based on operational needs.
